Now Offering Manuscript Assessment Editing!
To say that editing your novel is hard would be an understatement. This book is your baby, a composite of hours of work, rework, and working again. Starting the journey to publishing it is intimidating, and also, somehow, very vulnerable.
As your editor, I'm committed to treating you and your work with respect. That means clear, honest, and constructive feedback that is designed to refine your story and grow your craft.

Let's work together.
I'm Kate.
My background is in English education, where I spent two years developing and teaching a Creative Writing course. Since then, I've built my business as a commercial content writer. Over my career, I've written, composed, and edited hundreds of pieces of written work. I admire the classics, especially Shakespeare (but hey, I was an English teacher.) My expertise is in YA, fantasy, sci-fi, and Christian fiction, but I'm open to reading anything with a great tagline. |

Here's what's included in your manuscript assessment with Platt Literature.
1. Contact Call
You and I chat about the goals of your story. We discuss any of your concerns and notes in the story. We set up timelines for completion of the edit. I provide contract paperwork.

In this optional step, we can discuss the assessment in a follow-up call. You can ask for clarification or more pointers, and we can determine methods for rewrite or adaptation.
After we finish your manuscript assessment, we're still friends! I'd love to hear about your process and revisions through further emails. I can't wait to work with you!!
